Fairy tales have always excited us. We believed in fairy- tales and never imagined that life has got something called ‘realism’ embedded in it. That’s what childhood is – marked by innocence, purity, virtue and ignorance. Life always looked like a bed of roses as the maturity to realize that there will be thorns in it took time to dawn in our minds. As we grew older this belief and faith in fairies and fairy-tale life dwindled and finally eluded. Instead its ugly, mundane, wearisome counterpart called reality stood in front of us. Every now and then we wish if time would run backwards. We are irked by the fact that we don’t have a time- machine that would transport us back to this wishful wonderland. That’s how a human heart is. It loves to go back to good, old memories and prays that these moments remain forever. Unfortunately situations in life doesn’t turn out to be as expected and calculated.

There is nothing to get perplexed after thinking about this. The silver lining is that human- beings have come up with various other ways that punctuate life with fairy-tale element. You have guessed it right. Love and marriage are permeated with a fairy-tale facet and anticipated with happy endings. How much it lives upto that boundary is a different case altogether. As people are different their experiences are also different. But amidst all differences one can say with bated breath that it`s wedding and love that has made men and women go weak in knees down ages. For most couples love and marriage can be a fairy- tale. Falling head over heels in love itself is enchanting and mesmerizing experience. We wait to meet that special person and start missing him or her like crazy.
